Our Founders & Leadership

Precision. Prevention. Longevity.

At La Vie Health, we believe the future of medicine is proactive, not reactive.

The Clinical Vision

La Vie Health was founded with a purpose rooted in a deeply personal experience.

Dr. Hassan Sannoufi's path into medicine was shaped early in life when he witnessed his father undergo open-heart surgery. That experience planted a question that would define his entire career:

What if the risk of serious illness could be identified years before it becomes life-threatening?

During his studies at McGill University, Dr. Sannoufi conducted research focused on identifying genetic markers linked to breast cancer — an early introduction to the power of predictive and precision medicine. He later completed his family medicine residency at Dalhousie University, where he served as Chief Resident, before spending more than 17 years as an Emergency Physician at Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa.

Working at the frontline of acute care offered a defining insight: many of the most serious conditions treated in emergency settings — heart disease, diabetes, metabolic disorders, and certain cancers — had often been developing silently for years before any symptoms appeared.

That insight reinforced a core conviction that continues to guide La Vie today:

The greatest opportunity in medicine lies in identifying risk early, before disease takes hold.

The Strategic Leadership Behind La Vie

La Vie Health was co-founded by Reham Sannoufi (Samman), whose leadership, strategic vision, and operational expertise have been instrumental in transforming clinical vision into a thriving healthcare organization.

Reham holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and began her career at Shell Petroleum International, where she worked as a Financial Analyst and Cost Controller within a large global organization. After relocating to Canada, she continued in financial services at London Life Insurance and later at Royal Bank of Canada, where she developed expertise in strategic account management and financial advisory.

Driven by a passion for leadership and organizational growth, she completed a rigorous two-year Executive MBA program, further deepening her capabilities in strategy, operations, and institutional development. She also completed advanced studies in Global Health Management at Harvard, where she explored health system transformation, policy, and the future of medical care delivery.

Today, as Co-Founder, President, and CEO of La Vie Health, Reham leads the organization's strategic growth, operational infrastructure, and long-term vision — guiding La Vie as it evolves into a next-generation preventive health organization built to scale while preserving a deeply personal patient experience.
